Writing is often seen as an ardourous task I have to write quite a bit for my work and research and frankly I don't care to do it. I feel that I am much happier when I can actually make or fix something.... the statisfaction is higher there and I think I get whatever satisfaction bio-chemicals out of accomplishment. My issue is that with writing that satisfaction is often too far between projects. Web 2.0 (yes I am one of those who hate the name) has great technological promise and may actually come to fruition. Its most promising aspect IMHO is its integration with social computing. Howevr not many people have been able to clearly articulate what it is. Here are a couple of good articles on the subject.
