You Are a Visionary Soul

You are a curious person, always in a state of awareness.
Connected to all things spiritual, you are very connect to your soul.
You are wise and bright: able to reason and be reasonable.
Occasionally, you get quite depressed and have dark feelings.

You have great vision and can be very insightful.
In fact, you are often profound in a way that surprises yourself.
Visionary souls like you can be the best type of friend.
You are intuitive, understanding, sympathetic, and a good healer.

Souls you are most compatible with: Old Soul and Peacemaker Soul

Ok a little off topic… but

Found a site that has some interesting quizzes. Fun for a little distraction. For the record American cities that best fit me are:
65% Austin
65% Denver
60% Honolulu
60% Miami
55% San Diego

All places I would not mind living. There are more quizzes on the left hand side of this site.

Ever have problems finding that e-mail?

You can add a query builder to outlook. Its a lready built in you just need to add a registry key.

Use Regedit to go to the appropriate location.
Right click and choose to add a new Key.
Name it QueryBuilder.
There aren't any other entries that need to be made.

Outlook2002
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\QueryBuilder

Outlook 2003
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\QueryBuilder

The next time you go to Tools>Advanced Find, there will be a new tab for the Query Builder."

Here's an interesting tool if you have to hire people. I always found hiring a very difficult thing, particularly for technical jobs. There is so much BS thee days and people by definition are random. Anyway here's a tool (I have not tried) that will help you create an interview questionairre.

Also might give you guidanc eon hiring practices too. Pretty nice site.

Automatic CS Paper Generator

Filed under: General — russell @ 8:40 pm

As much time as I spend working on papers... I could not believe I could have been using this thing all this time. Check it out:

"SCIgen is a program that generates random Computer Science research papers, including graphs, figures, and citations. It uses a hand-written context-free grammar to form all elements of the papers."

Outlook Add-in

Filed under: General — russell @ 11:15 am

I have been thinking about writing an outlook add-in that would do the whole free and busy thing (appointment calendaring) with a web application/service. I have wanted this since netfolders, because I want people to be able to see my calendar but not the details; so people can schedule when I am available. It is hard for me to believe that no company has written this. I think it would be really useful (maybe its just me)... Anyway Microsoft talks about howto write an Outlook add-in using .Net here:

Property Grid Control

Filed under: General — russell @ 10:26 am

I had a need to write something that allowed users to configure the application. The property grid control is perfect but not enabled by default in .Net. Heres some more info on how to use it:
